Implant
A chemical alcohol and opiate antagonist is inserted under skin. Its period of validity is one month for alcohol and from three to twelve months for opiate drugs. During this period it releases into the blood stream, a substance that blocks opiates receptors. The effect produces a case of relapse where the subject won’t feel anything – it’s as if he (she) were to be drinking water, for an example. So the process of taking drugs or alcohol becomes useless as there is no satisfaction. This offers valuable security for a person who is starting a new life but yet is afraid of the temptation. This process is often called The Closed Door because of the fact that there will no longer be a portal back to the life of drugs and alcohol.
